Urgency

Our students don’t have time to relax, at least not in class. Too many are already steps behind, and every slow day we take, can become a lost year for them.

Urgency is not pressure, it’s purpose. Urgency is the daily decision to push, to assign more work, and give quicker feedback. Urgency is the commitment to crush every excuse standing between a student and success.

As James Baldwin said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

Let’s face these learning gaps with a sense of urgency.
